I’m not going to go into much detail with these books, I’m just going to lay out there which books I’ve read recently that I did not enjoy/don’t see the hype for. These are in no particular order!
The Betrothed: DNF 2/5
Gilded Cage: DNF 2/5
Daughters of Ruin: DNF 2/5
The Maple Murders: Meh 3.5/5
How to Love Your Elf: Meh 2/5
Beasts of the Frozen Sun: 3/5
And that’s it! I read all of these pretty much back to back so it was very surreal to have so many disappointing books in one go. I literally read most of these (minus The Betrothed) in one weekend. Since then though I have been able to find some excitement in other books which was a relief!!
