Review: Deadly Class by Rick Remender, Wes Craig, and Lee Loughridge

It’s 1987. Marcus Lopez hates school. His grades suck. The jocks are hassling his friends. He can’t focus in class. But the jocks are the children of Joseph Stalin’s top assassin, the teachers are members of an ancient league of assassins, the class he’s failing is “Dismemberment 101,” and his crush has a double-digit body count. Welcome to the most brutal high school on earth, where the world’s top crime families send the next generation of assassins to be trained. Murder is an art. Killing is a craft. At Kings Dominion School for the Deadly Arts, the dagger in your back isn’t always metaphorical.

My Review:

5/5 ⭐️

Please note that this comic is for audiences 18 and up, it’s not for the faint of heart or stomach.

I received this comic for free at BookExpo from Imprint Comics, all thoughts are my own and I was interested in this comic because of the SyFy TV show.

Alright guys! Lets crack into this now shall we?

This first volume was basically the first half of the show so it wasn’t new info for me. I did enjoy it though! The art style is very different than any comic I’ve ever read. We got a glimpse of that through the first season.
