Review: Renegades by Marissa Meyer *SPOILERS*

This will have a few gripings in it so be warned.

Synopsis:

Secret Identities.
Extraordinary Powers.
She wants vengeance. He wants justice.

The Renegades are a syndicate of prodigies―humans with extraordinary abilities―who emerged from the ruins of a crumbled society and established peace and order where chaos reigned. As champions of justice, they remain a symbol of hope and courage to everyone…except the villains they once overthrew.

Nova has a reason to hate the Renegades, and she is on a mission for vengeance. As she gets closer to her target, she meets Adrian, a Renegade boy who believes in justice―and in Nova. But Nova’s allegiance is to the villains who have the power to end them both.

My Review:

4/5 ⭐️ for this one. I liked the overall story but there were parts, specifically characters and powers, that were directly lifted from the X-MEN comics.

Spoilers:

Ok so yeah a lot of the characters were directly lifted from X-Men comics. Now I get it that there are only soooo many powers BUT… It was to the point that one character was a direct lift of Rogue… Like a direct lift. Basically if you’re a huge fan of X-Men then maybe stay away from this one because I was soooo pissed that I could barely finish the book…
